Five raised comic panels come alive through changing light, by day and by night. Inspired by Phillip’s Le Roux’s childhood love of comics, the work reflects the escapist joy and imagination he found within their pages.

As sunlight and the lights of the Square pass through the panels, the artwork continually changes. Comic De-Light invites visitors to reflect on their own comic-book memories — or simply enjoy a playful moment of light, colour and nostalgia.
