Karlin Roos and Holger Oosthuizen are the founders of Clarens Stargazing Tours and Celestial Point Shunyata, where nature, astronomy, and philosophy inspire curiosity and wonder revealing the constellations, planets, stories, and the deeper questions the night sky invites us to explore.

They have spent years creating experiences that encourage people to slow down, reconnect with nature, and rediscover their place beneath the stars to look beyond facts alone—to experience nature and life with curiosity and imagination, to discover that every point of light in the night sky and those places without stars have a story to tell. Some couples discover a shared hobby, together, their partnership discovered a shared way of seeing the universe. They encourage audiences to see the universe as a living story, one that inspired cultures across thousands of years till today.

Through their passion of astronomy, storytelling, and humanity’s timeless relationship with

the cosmos that invite experiences of connection and reflection, they explore the beauty of the stars, the subtle patterns of nature, consciousness and the human experience. Their endless fascination of the architecture of the cosmos—planetary cycles, ancient calendars, astronomy, mythology, sacred geometry and humanity’s relationship with the stars invites curiosity and wonder.

Their work is founded on light, art, conversation, and the stars with the hopes that each visitor leaves inspired to keep asking questions, seeking beauty, and embracing the wonder that surrounds us every day so that everyone can find their own reflection in the cosmos.

Every evening beneath the stars is an exploration and an invitation to slow down, become curious, and rediscover our relationship with time, light and each other.
